The Sue Wiseman scholarship honors youth who have demonstrated outstanding commitment and dedication to reducing littering and illegal dumping.

The scholarship is named for Sue Wiseman (above, right), whose commitment and dedication to a cleaner environment led to the founding of PA CleanWays. PA CleanWays is a statewide non-profit environmental organization empowering people to eliminate littering and illegal dumping in Pennsylvania. Its community-based approach has resulted in:

the removal of hundreds of illegal dump sites throughout the state,
the involvement of tens of thousands of volunteers,
the collection of thousands of tires and appliances for recycling,
the planting of thousands of trees in public areas across the state, and
the adoption of hundreds of local roads for litter cleanups.
