Townships
Partner With Chapter to Clean Up
PA CleanWays of
Mifflin County is pleased to welcome Bratton Township as its first municipal
member. Bratton Township joined the local chapter in April 2002 following
the tour of local dump sites, which was attended by Supervisor Don Kauffman.
Executive
Director Kimbra Shoop says of the township’s move, "The support of local
municipalities is essential to the success of the PA CleanWays mission.
Our focus is to empower people to clean up their communities, and local
leaders need to be at the forefront of our community-based efforts,
setting the example."
PA
CleanWays of Mifflin County is also pleased to welcome Granville Township
as a municipal member. "We are grateful for all the support we receive
from local municipalities," says Shoop, explaining that Armagh and Decatur
Townships have provided equipment and support for cleanups in their
communities. Municipalities interested in joining PA CleanWays or scheduling
a presentation for a township meeting are encouraged to contact
the chapter office for more information.
