Cleanup on East Back Mountain Road in Armagh Township
In celebration of
Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Day, a cleanup was organized by Leroy Goss
on Friday, April 25, 2003. Originally planned for Saturday, April 26,
the event date was changed due to weather forecasts.
Volunteers picked
up trash and litter along East Back Mountain Road in Armagh Township
for several hours Friday evening. A total of 22 bags of trash were collected
along with three bed mattresses, two tires, and one car bumper.
Trash collected
was left on the roadside to be picked up by PennDOT. This is a service
the agency provides to assist volunteer groups in cleanup efforts during
Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Month every April.
