Post-Cleanup Tree Planting at Camp Elliott
In
addition to cleanup activities, PA CleanWays undertakes beautification
projects, such as tree plantings to prevent future illegal dumping.
Following
the cleanup along the Neshannock Creek on April 6, 2002 a half-dozen
chapter members met at Camp Elliott to plant trees. Camp Elliott is
the Lawrence and Beaver County Girl Scouts camp. Members Kim and Bill
Scranton, Marjorie and Andrea Snider, Jerry Zona, and Karen Hohman planted
more than 200 trees, donated by Kim and Bill Scranton, in the camping
area.
