PA CleanWays, Inc., is pleased to sponsor the Sue Wiseman Scholarship, a $1,000 scholarship honoring Pennsylvania youth, ages 16-21, who have initiated and carried out a project(s) that addresses littering, illegal dumping, recycling, proper disposal, beautification, or education.

The scholarship is named for Sue Wiseman (above, right), whose commitment and dedication to a cleaner environment led to the founding of PA CleanWays. PA CleanWays, Inc., is a statewide non-profit environmental organization empowering people to eliminate littering and illegal dumping in Pennsylvania.
Its community-based approach has resulted in:

    • the removal of hundreds of illegal dump sites throughout the state,
    • the involvement of tens of thousands of volunteers,
    • the collection of thousands of tires and appliances for recycling,
    • the planting of thousands of trees in public areas across the state, and
    • the adoption of hundreds of local roads for litter cleanups.
