Emma and Jaymie composed
a play titled, "Litter Patrol" about a young girl
who thoughtfully urges a peer not to litter. After careful

|
| Teah,
Nolan, and Nakai B., Rebecca, Sophie, and Xenia M.,
and Ayden C. from Clearfield County organized a community
cleanup. These homeschoolers picked up litter in yards,
parking lots, and nearby woods and even created posters
to educate the neighborhood residents about the importance
of putting litter in its place. The children have seen
the impact that their positive peer pressure has had
on the neighborhood and have made it a habit to carry
a litter bag with them every time they go out to play. |

| Sam created
a thoughtful sculpture using one week worth of

The Environmental Stewardship Club, West Perry High School,
Perry County
The Environmental
Stewardship Club performed many educational and stewardship
programs as part of their project. The club organized a
poster contest for the elementary schools in the district
where the winning entry was printed on a placemat and used
at a local diner. They updated a display throughout the
year to help promote recycling and wise energy use, conducted
a school-yard trash pickup, and instituted a recycling program!
The club also has ambitious plans for the future.
