Who: Partnerships
of local or regional organizations in Pennsylvania such as watershed
associations, civic groups, community water systems, governmental entities
(including municipal authorities), and other public interest organizations.
All partners must play an active role in the project.
What: Educational projects that raise awareness about protecting
the community's drinking water source and/or preventing nonpoint source
pollution in the watershed. Projects should include local government
involvement and encourage behavior change. Grant award: up to $5,000
per project.
When: Proposals must be postmarked or hand delivered no later
than 4:00 pm on 4/3/06. Successful proposals announced by 5/15/06. Funding/activity
period: 7/1/06 through 6/30/07.
**Grantees must send at least one member of partnership to Orientation
Mtg in mid-June (exact days to be announced.) Grantees will network
with other projects and receive resources. There is no cost to the grantee
to attend.**
