Despite the
rainy weather on April 13, 18 volunteers from Commonwealth Systems
Corporation participated in the annual spring litter sweep of Martin
Road, removing 45 bags of trash and 18 tires from 3.5 miles of road.
Martin Road is part of the PA CleanWays local road adoption program.
Since the spring of 2000, 373 bags of trash, 63 tires, and a refrigerator
have been gathered for proper disposal. Thanks go out to the volunteers
for their hard work, to Rayne and White Townships for their cooperation
in hauling the trash to the landfill, and to Waste Management for
their donation of free trash disposal.
