Receives Awards at PA CleanWays, Inc. Annual Meeting 2001
At the PA CleanWays,
Inc. 2001 Annual Meeting on October 11, the chapter brought home two
awards, the "Outstanding Newsletter Award" for the chapter’s Summer
2001 newsletter, and the "Outstanding Newspaper Article" award for Jeff
Gill’s story about the Huntingdon/Blair County cleanup in the Tyrone
Herald.
Winners
of the 2001 PA CleanWays photo contest were also displayed. Huntingdon
County had the best overall photo. Last year, Park’s Garbage Service,
Captain Hook Transport, and Bousum’s Transport received the "Outstanding
Design" award for their construction of a mechanism to haul trash off
steep slopes. Thanks to all members and volunteers for helping the chapter
achieve these honors. All plaques are now hanging in the Commissioner’s
Conference Room at the Huntingdon County courthouse.
