Illegal Dump/Litter
Cleanup in Allegheny
County, sponsored
by Allegheny CleanWays.
Join
us as we help the
Allegheny Land Trust
clean up the Allegheny
River near Barking
Slopes. Please wear
long pants, sturdy
(i.e. closed-toed)
shoes or boots,
and be prepared
for inclement weather.
As always, we'll
provide equipment,
refreshments, instructions,
and entertainment
after the cleanup.
To get there from
downtown, take Rt.
28 N to Harmarville.
From HARMARVILLE
take Freeport Road
South to the HULTON
BRIDGE across the
Allegheny River
into Oakmont. Depart
HULTON BRIDGE and
travel straight
on HULTON ROAD /
State Route 909
/ YELLOW BELT /
4.9 mi. Turn left
onto BARKING ROAD
/ 1.3 miles. Arrive
at PARKING AREA
in BARKING before
the road turns into
a gravel road. We'll
meet you there!

CleanScapes. Our
6th Annual West
Branch Susquehanna
River and Roadway
Cleanup will
be held at the intersection
of Rt. 664/Coundersport
Pike and Jay Street.
Volunteers can hike,
paddle, or dive
to remove man-made
debris from Farrandsville
Road or the river.
