  • April 2; 7 PM to 8 PM; Educational Event in Allegheny County, sponsored by Allegheny CleanWays. This event will take place at the Moon Run Fire Hall and will provide cleanup coordinators with the tools and information to manage a successful event. Registration is $10 for up to 5 people.   • April 3; 11 AM to 4 PM; Educational Event in Mifflin County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Mifflin County. The local High School students did recycle design posters which will be judged from 11am to 1pm. The event will be located at Ellen Chapel Church, 11764 Ferguson Valley Road, Lewistown. At 1 PM there will be an open house for residents to see what, where, and how to recycle. Special speakers will be there for the afternoon, and a compost workshop is scheduled at 2:30 PM. You must have registered prior to this event for the compost workshop. Poster winners will be announced at 3:45 PM.   • April 3; 6:30 PM to 8 PM; Educational Event in Allegheny County, sponsored by Allegheny CleanWays. This is the final workshop for cleanup coordinator this spring. It will provide cleanup coordinators with the tools and information to manage a successful event. The training will be held at the Allegheny CleanWays office.   • April 5; 9 AM to Noon; Educational Event in Westmoreland County, sponsored by Westmoreland Cleanways. A Backyard Composting Workshop will be held at the Donohoe Center in Greensburg.   • April 5; 8 AM to Noon; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Bedford County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Bedford County. This cleanup will take place in the townships of Pavia, Lincoln, King, and East St. Clair. Volunteers will meet at roll-off locations along SR 869 (Ricky Corle property) for litter cleanup along Bobs Creek between Reynoldsdate and Pavia.   • April 5; 9 AM to 2 PM; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Philadelphia County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Royal Gardens in Morris Park, West Philadelphia. This event will take place at the Fairmount Park Commission. Volunteers will help remove loose debris and illegal dumping from adopted roadways.   • April 5; 9 AM to 1 PM; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Fayette County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Fayette County. This cleanup will take place in Dunbar Township on Kingin Hill and Saylor Road. Volunteers will help clean up approximately 1/4 mile on Kingin Hill and a small concentrated dump on Saylor Road. For additional information, please contact Carl Williams at 724-437-8139.

  • April 5; 9 AM to Noon; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Lawrence County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Butler-Lawrence Counties. This cleanup will take place in Ellwood City.   • April 5; 10 AM to 1 PM; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Butler County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Butler-Lawrence Counties. This is a volunteer cleanup of an inactive illegal dump site in Parker Township located at SGL 95. For further information, contact Jerry Zona at 724-658-6925 or e-mail.

  • April 5; All Day Event; Special Collections/Recycling Event in Cambria County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Cambria County. Boy Scout Troop #115, based in Hastings, will collect littered tires from the area landscapes. They will be improving the health of our environment, removing unnatural objects from the scenery, and educating themselves about environmental issues.   • April 10; 9 AM to 1 PM; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Clinton County, sponsored by Clinton County CleanScapes. This cleanup will take place near Boone Road in Chapman Township, north of Renovo. During this weekday event, DCNR Sproul staff and volunteers will remove debris from a future snowmobile trail. The terrain is moderately challenging and sloped.   • April 12; 9 AM to 3 PM; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Blair County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Blair County. This cleanup will take place along Rt.36 in Logan Township. For additional information, please contact Mike Union at 814-946-7290 or e-mail.

  • April 12; 9 AM to 1 PM; Special Collections/Recycling Event in Greene County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Greene County. This special collection will take place at the Greene County Fair Grounds where we will be accepting white goods and tires from residents for a fee of $1.00 per item.   • April 12; 8 AM to Noon; Special Collections/Recycling Event in Huntingdon County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Huntingdon County in cooperation with the Huntingdon County Recycling Coordinator.   • April 12 & 19; 9 AM to 1 PM; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Mifflin County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Mifflin County. This cleanup is a continuation of the March 29th cleanup and is being held on Jack's Mountain, Oliver Township. Volunteers will meet at the Oliver Township building along SR 22 west of McVeytown. The illegal dump is on Jack's Mountain Road between McVeytown and Bellville at the top of the mountain. The dump is being cleaned by members of PA CleanWays of Mifflin County and The Mifflin County Hawk Club. For additional information, please contact Pam Sechrist at 717-899-6701 or e-mail.

  • April 13; 1:30 PM until ?; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Westmoreland County, sponsored by Westmoreland Cleanways and 4-H Conservation Club. This cleanup will take place in Pleasant Valley Park. We will start our cleanup along the Pleasant Valley Park boarder with Pleasant Valley Road. Once that trash has been picked up, we will move into the park itself to clean up one of several old farm dump sites. If you need community service hours, this can be a fun way to earn them.   • April 13; 1:30 PM to 4 PM; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Westmoreland County, sponsored by Westmoreland Cleanways. This cleanup will be held in the Municipality of Murrysville at Pleasant Valley Park. For additional information, please contact Bonnie Belak at 724-327-6885.

  • April 14; 9 AM to 2 PM; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Greene County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Greene County. This cleanup is being held at the Braden Plan in Morgan Township.
