  • April 1 to May 31; Special Collection or Recycling Event in Erie County, sponsored by PA CleanWays. This is an ongoing event that will last for two months in which boat shrink wrap that is removed from winterized boats in the Presque Isle State Park Marina will be collected and recycled.   • April 1 to April 30 ; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Huntingdon County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Huntingdon County. This is an ongoing event that will last several weeks in which equipment will be donated through the PA Game Commission and the Warrior Ridge Hydro Power Company. A volunteer cleanup will be scheduled after the area has the large materials removed and is regraded. Watch our "Calendar of Events" for the date in which volunteers will be needed.   • April 3; 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM; Educational Event in Allegheny County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Allegheny County. Cleanup Coordinator Workshop will be held at the Mt. Lebanon Public Library in Mt. Lebanon. This is a workshop to help leaders plan safe and fun cleanups for the Great PA Cleanup.   • April 4; 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM; Educational Event in Allegheny County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Allegheny County. Cleanup Coordinator Workshop will be held at the Hill House Association.. This workshop will help leaders plan safe and fun cleanups for the Great PA Cleanup. We'll also review how to register the event and what equipment is available. This event is being held in partnership with the PA Game Commission, Wal Mart, and Dunbar Sportsman Club and is being held at Dunbar Township Dunbar/Ohiopyle Roads.   • April 11; 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM; Educational Event in Allegheny County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Allegheny County.   • April 14; 9 AM until completed; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup, in Dauphin County, sponsored by PA CleanWays. This event is being held in Upper Paxton Township at Isle of Q Road and Wiconisco Creek. Volunteers will be removing two small illegal dumpsites and partnering groups will be canoeing the Wiconisco Creek to remove trash and debris from the creek.   • April 14; 8 AM to Noon; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup, in Fayette County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Fayette County. This event is being held at
    Gates-Ronco Cutoff Road-Browns Run Dump in German Township. Volunteers will help clean up household goods, garbage, and tires over a steep embankment. For additional information, please contact

  • April 14; 9 AM to 12 PM; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Mifflin County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Mifflin County. This cleanup is being held in Wayne Township. We will meet at the Wayne Township Building along Ferguson Valley Road at 8:30 AM and travel from there to the dump site along Greenbriar Road..   • April 14; 9 AM to 2 PM; Special Collection/Recycling Event; Appliance and Tire Recycling Program in Cambria County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Cambria County. This event is being held at the Croyle Township Municipal Building. Costs for appliances is $6 without freon and $12 with freon.   • April 14; 9 AM to Noon; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Huntingdon County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Huntingdon County; being held at Alexandria Pike Road (SR 4005) in Porter Township. This will be the 4th and maybe the last phase of this cleanup. Volunteers are needed and urged to wear appropriate attire.   • April 14 ; 9 AM to 1 PM; Special Collection/Recycling Event , in Greene County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Greene County. This event is being held at the Greene County Fairgrounds. This is a one day free event. We will be taking white goods and tires only. We will take up to 15 tires per household.   • April 15; 1 PM to 4 PM; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup, in Dauphin County, sponsored by PA CleanWays. This event is being held in Halifax Township on Tobias Road.   • April 17; 9 AM to 1 PM; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Lawrence County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Butler-Lawrence Counties. This event is taking place at Ewing Park in Ellwood City Borough.   • April 20; 5 PM to 8 PM; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Allegheny County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Allegheny County. The best alternative to Happy Hour! We will work from land and water (if river conditions allow) to remove litter and debris from the shore of the Monongahela River near the Birmingham Bridge and along the park waterfront. Wear long pants, sturdy shoes, and warm gear for evening cooling. Cleaning equipment, drinks and dinner provided. Take 18th Street to the South Side Riverfront Park. We'll meet under the bridge.   • April 21; 8:30 AM to Noon; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup, in Westmoreland County, sponsored by PA CleanWays and Westmoreland Cleanways. This Sewickley Creek Watershed Association Earth Day Cleanup will cover three areas; Youngwood, South Huntingdon and Hempfield.
