  • August 3; 5 PM to 8PM; Illegal Dump/Litter Event in Allegheny County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Allegheny County. Join us for the last Tireless Friday event of the summer. Help us clean up litter and debris along the Duck Hollow Trail and adjacent Monogahela River riparian buffer zone. As always, equipment, refreshments, instructions, musical entertainment and dinner will be provided. Come dressed appropriately (we suggest long pants and sturdy boots/shoes) and be prepared for inclement weather. To get to the clean up site from downtown Pittsburgh, take route 376 East to Squirrel Hill/Homestead exit. Proceed straight towards Homestead on Browns Hill Road. When the road becomes two lanes stay in the left lane and turn left onto Old Browns Hill Road (before crossing bridge), then proceed down the hill to Duck Hollow Pier. We'll assemble in the parking lot. For further information, contact Myrna Newman at 412-381-1301 or e-mail.
