  • September 20; 9 AM to Noon; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Allegheny County, sponsored by Allegheny CleanWays. This cleanup will take place at the Lawrenceville Riverfront. For our last Tireless event of the season, we'll be taking part in the International Coastal Cleanup Day. Participants will clean up litter and debris along the Lawrenceville Riverfront Trail and the adjacent Allegheny River riparian buffer zone. Equipment, refreshments, instructions, and lunch will be provided. Come dressed appropriately. We suggest long pants and sturdy boots or shoes and be prepared for inclement weather. To get there from downtown Pittsburgh, take Liberty Avenue into Lawrenceville and turn left onto 40th Street. Proceed towards the 40th Street Bridge and turn right just before you get to the bridge. Continue on 40th street. Park in the parking lot at the end of the street. Look for our table and banner in the small park near the trail. For additional information, please contact Myrna Newman at 412-381-1301 or e-mail.
