  • March 1; 10 AM to 1 PM; Special Collection/Recycling Event in Lawrence County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Butler-Lawrence Counties. This is a collection event for farmers to properly dispose of the big rear tires from farm tractors and will be held at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds.   • March 3; 6:30 PM to 8 PM; Educational Event in Allegheny County, sponsored by Allegheny CleanWays. This workshop will provide cleanup coordinators with the tools and information to manage a successful event. Advanced registration ($10 for a group of up to 5 people) is required. The training will be held at the Northside Leadership Conference Office located at 4 Allegheny Center, Suite 601, Pittsburgh 15209. From downtown take the Roberto Clemente Bridge to Federal Street and Allegheny Center. Metered parking on street is free after 6:00 PM.   • March 7; 9 AM to 3 PM; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Cumberland County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Cumberland County. This is a volunteer cleanup located at the Mount Holly Marsh Preserve. Volunteers should meet at the Mount Holly Preserve parking lot along Route 34 on Baltimore Street in Mt. Holly just south of the Deer Lodge Restaurant. This workshop will provide cleanup coordinators with the tools and information to manage a successful event. Advanced registration ($10 for a group of up to 5 people) is required. The training will be held at the Millvale Community Center, located at 416 Lincoln Avenue. From downtown, take PA-28 N towards Etna. Take exit 3 towards Millvale.   • March 11; 6:30 PM to 8 PM; Educational Event in Allegheny County, sponsored by Allegheny CleanWays. This workshop will provide cleanup coordinators with the tools and information to manage a successful event. Advanced registration ($10 for a group of up to 5 people) is required. The training will be held at the Hampton Inn in Green Tree. From downtown, go through the Fort Pitt Tunnel towards the airport. Take exit 4A (PA 121 N) towards Crafton. Turn left onto Mansfield Ave/PA-121/Blue Belt. After approximately .5 miles, turn left onto Trumbull Dr, then right to stay on Trumball.   • March 15; 9 AM to Noon; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Philadelphia County. This is a Coastal Zone Management Cleanup and is sponsored by PA CleanWays and PA CleanWays of Royal Gardens in Morris Park. This cleaup will be along West End Drive bordering Morris Park. Volunteers are to meet at Papa Playground at the corner of Lansdowne Avenue and 68th Street. RAINDATE IS SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 16TH AT 9:00 AM. Registration deadline is March 12, 2008.   • March 15; 9 AM to Noon; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Mifflin County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Mifflin County. This will be held in Derry Township where we will be finishing small dumpsites on Vermont Avenue and a few other sites where needed. Volunteers will meet at the K-Mart parking lot at 8:30 AM.   • March 29; 10 AM to 1 PM; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Butler County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Butler-Lawrence Counties. This is a volunteer cleanup of an inactive illegal dump site in Parker Township located at SGL 95. For further information, contact Jerry Zona at 724-658-6925 or e-mail.

  • March 29; 1 PM to 4:30 PM; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Washington County, sponsored by PA CleanWays. This greenways cleanup is a continuation of William Gumbert's Eagle Scout Project. We will meet at the trail head on Briggs Street in Allenport Borough. Volunteers will help remove litter and illegal dumping from Allenport Hollow Creek.   • March 29; 9 AM to 1 PM; Illegal Dump/Litter Cleanup in Mifflin County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Mifflin County. This cleanup is being held in Jack's Mountain, Oliver Township. Volunteers will meet at the Oliver Township building along SR 22 west of McVeytown. The illegal dump is on Jack's Mountain Road between McVeytown and Bellville at the top of the mountain. The dump is being cleaned by members of PA CleanWays of Mifflin County and The Mifflin County Hawk Club. For additional information, please contact Pam Sechrist at 717-899-6701 or e-mail.

  • March 29; 9 AM to 2 PM; Educational Event in Allegheny County, sponsored by Allegheny CleanWays. This event will be held at The Palisades in McKeesport and is a community outreach and education forum for community service groups serving the McKeesport area.
