  • February 15 to February 17; Educational Event in Mifflin County, sponsored by PA CleanWays of Mifflin County. This is a Recycle Poster Contest and is being offered to High Schools to further promote recycling through education in our schools. Posters are to be turned in by March 24, 2008 and judging of the posters will be in early April. For further information about this contest, please contact Pam Sechrist at 717-899-6701 or e-mail.
  • February 19; 6:30 PM to 8PM; Educational Event in Allegheny County, sponsored by Allegheny CleanWays. This workshop will provide cleanup coordinators with the tools and information to manage a successful event. Advanced registration ($10 for a group of up to 5 people) is required. The training will be held at the Weed and Seed Office in McKeesport. From downtown Pittsburgh, take I-376 E towards Monroeville. Take Exit 7 towards Swissvale. Turn slight left onto Monongahela St. Turn right onto South Braddock. South Braddock becomes Green Belt. Turn left onto River Road/PA-837/Green Belt and follow the Green Belt. Then take the PA-148 S ramp towards McKeesport and make a slight right onto 5th Ave/PA-148/Yellow Belt.   • February 25; 6:30 PM to 8PM; Educational Event in Allegheny County, sponsored by Allegheny CleanWays. This workshop will provide cleanup coordinators with the tools and information to manage a successful event. Advanced registration ($10 for a group of up to 5 people) is required. The training will be held at the Indiana Township Municipal Building, located at 941 Route 910, Indianola, PA. From downtown, take Route 28 N towards Etna. Take the PA-910 exit (EXIT 11) toward HARMARVILLE/I-76/ PA TURNPIKE, then immediately take ramp toward Indianola/Dorseyville. Turn left onto PA 910/Indianola Rd/Yellow Belt and travel about 3 miles.   • February 26; 6:30 PM to 8PM; Educational Event in Allegheny County, sponsored by Allegheny CleanWays. This workshop will provide cleanup coordinators with the tools and information to manage a successful event. Advanced registration ($10 for a group of up to 5 people) is required. The training will be held at the South Park Township Community Center at 2675 Brownsville Road, South Park, PA 15129. From downtown, take the Liberty Bridge through the Liberty Tunnels. Merge onto PA-51S/ Saw Mill Run Blvd. toward Uniontown. Travel 2.7 miles, and then make a slight right onto Provost Rd/ Fairhaven Rd which eventually becomes Brownsville Road/Yellow Belt. Stay on Brownsville Road (making a slight right, then a slight left) until the community center which is approximately 6.5 miles from entrance onto Provost Road.   • February 28; 6:30 PM to 8PM; Educational Event in Allegheny County, sponsored by Allegheny CleanWays. This workshop will provide cleanup coordinators with the tools and information to manage a successful event. Advanced registration ($10 for a group of up to 5 people) is required. The training will be held at the Wilkinsburg Municipal Building at 605 Ross Avenue, Wilkinsburg, PA 15221. From downtown take I-376 E towards Monroeville. Take exit 7 toward Edgewood/Swissvale, then ramp towards Edgewood and ramp towards Greendale Ave. Greendale Avenue becomes Race Street. Turn left onto Pennwood Avenue.
