Third Annual Allegheny Chapter Tree Distribution
PA
CleanWays' mission of empowering people to fight illegal dumping and
littering in their communities is a monumental task that requires a
multi-pronged approach to the problem.
In addition to helping
communities organize cleanups and offering affordable and convenient
alternatives for hard-to-dispose items, PA CleanWays' strategies includes
increasing stewardship and beautifying our lands. To this end, October
marked the third year for the annual PA CleanWays of Allegheny County
tree distribution program. This year, 140 trees were strategically planted
to reinforce the efforts of volunteers who partnered with the chapter
in the past to clean blighted areas of their neighborhoods.
