Beadling
Road Adoption
As
a special activity toward earning the Bronze Award, the highest award
attainable for a Junior aged Girl Scout, the girls in Junior G.S. Troop
#1150 decided to adopt Beadling Road in Mt. Lebanon. These young citizens
have chosen to keep the road free of trash for a period of at least
two years by periodically picking up the litter.
Each
year the troop has participated in a service project to keep the community
clean and this year it was done as a part of their Earth Day Activities
on April 26, 2003. The girls selected the Beadling Road because the
street is close to their meeting site of St. Paul's Church on Washington
Road. A special thank you to the leaders and girls of Junior G. S. Troop
#1150 for participating in a PA CleanWays adoption.
